Resistance "Coefficient of Copper" Apparatus
Resistance "Coefficient of Copper" Apparatus
Code: EM3020-001
The "Temperature Coefficient of Resistance of copper" is a device where a fine copper coil is wound on a pyrex glass former and a handle is formed at the other end. The resistance of the copper winding when cold is 20 ohms. To determine the Temperature Coefficient of Resistance, the change in resistance with the change in temperature must be measured.
The device can be plunged into ice water and later plunged into near-boiling water while the resistance is being monitored. The calculations are in the PDF file.
